  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips optional
  • For the Chocolate Ganache:
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Make the Brownie Batter:
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Add Dry Ingredients:
  • Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  • Bake:
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  • Prepare the Ganache:
  • Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan or microwave until just simmering (do not boil). Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
  • Top with Ganache:
  • Pour the chocolate ganache over the cooled brownies, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Allow the ganache to set for about 1 hour at room temperature or 30 minutes in the fridge.
  • Slice and Serve:
  • Once set, slice into 12 squares and serve. Enjoy the rich and fudgy brownies with the silky ganache topping!
