Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh cherries pitted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter for greasing the dish
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch baking dish with butter.
  • Arrange the pitted cherries evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, milk, flour, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  • Slowly pour the batter over the cherries in the baking dish.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the clafoutis is puffed and golden brown around the edges.
  • Let the clafoutis cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm or at room temperature.
