  • 14 whole hazelnuts plus additional for coating
  • 2 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.125 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp dairy-free mini chocolate chips or dark chocolate chunks optional

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor, blend 14 hazelnuts, cacao or cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt until the mixture is smooth and forms a sticky dough.
  • Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls around a whole hazelnut to create a candy center.
  • Optional: Roll the candies in crushed hazelnuts, cacao powder, or dairy-free mini chocolate chips for coating.
  • Place the candies on a plate or tray and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes to set.
  • Serve and enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
