  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, cocoa powder, corn syrup, and salt until combined.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly, and cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate and butter, stirring until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Let the sauce cool slightly before serving warm over ice cream, brownies, or desserts.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Reheat before serving.
