  • 1 cup unsalted shelled pistachios
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp almond extract
  • 0.25 cup pistachio vodka optional

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, combine the pistachios, sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Strain the pistachio mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a mixing bowl to remove solids.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Add pistachio vodka, if using, and mix well.
  • Chill the cocktail mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • Pour into shot glasses and serve chilled. Garnish with crushed pistachios, if desired.

Notes

  • Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Customization: For a non-alcoholic version, omit the pistachio vodka.
  • Serving Suggestion: Garnish with whipped cream or a sprinkle of ground nutmeg for a festive touch.
