  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or milk chocolate

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Press the dough evenly into the greased skillet.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is slightly soft.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving warm. Enjoy on its own or topped with ice cream.
