  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping like Cool Whip
  • For the Pudding Layer:
  • 2 boxes 3.4 oz each instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • For the Topping:
  • 1 cup whipped topping additional
  • 2 tbsp chocolate shavings or chopped pecans optional garnish

  • Prepare the Crust:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow the crust to cool completely.
  • Make the Cream Cheese Layer:
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping until well combined. Spread this layer evenly over the cooled crust.
  • Prepare the Pudding Layer:
  • In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  • Add the Topping:
  • Spread an additional cup of whipped topping over the pudding layer. For an extra touch, garnish with chocolate shavings or chopped pecans.
  • Chill and Serve:
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing into squares and serving.
